The Cook & Kitchen community on Facebook was established on the 24th March 2020 during the first Covid-19 lockdown.
In creating the group, there was a simple ambition of bringing anyone with a love of cooking and baking together into a safe space, where cooking triumphs and disasters could be shared in equal measure, and where tips could be sought and given by a friendly community.
In just over six months, over four thousand people have joined the group, and many friendships have been made. The group continues to go from strength to strength, and in November 2020 the cookandkitchen.com website was launched, providing an online recipe book for members of the group, to share all their favourite recipes and to read group news and notices.
For the second time, the Kitchen Star apron winner for October 2022 was Sharon Day.
