Looks delicious Michelle x

Tasted so good because I used extra mature cheddar, had a lovely cheesy flavour , quite tangy

We like that too. Sometimes add a bit of chopped bacon or a cheesy breadcrumb topping

That's not an intuitive mix, but I bet it's rather good. Use up those leftovers. I bet it's good. And get well soon!

Feel better soon lovely x

Oh, that sounds nice. I'm going to have to try that!

Yummy yummy

That sounds lovely. Is there a recipe you can share, please? Or just a bit of a guide (I make dishes up as I go along!). TIA.

I regularly make almost exactly this, with just the addition of sweet potato.

Senior moment today, needed to go to the shop to pick up some bits for baking and realised I had left my bag in the car which Richard had taken to work. The village shop will give credit as long as you are prompt paying it off but I don't like using it so we made do with what I had in including dinner xx ... See MoreSee Less

Which cream is best for trifle? When I made one I never had time to whisk fresh double cream as I’d forgotten to make desert and our guests were due to arrive anytime. So I made a beautiful trifle (not as neat or as special as yours but it was nice). I made the trifle in the morning and added squirty cream before they arrived. I had to use squirty fresh cream lol….don’t do what I did. I put the cream on top the trifle , put it in the fridge & we had our dinner. By the time it was ready to serve, the cream had collapsed and dissolved down and not one of my family even tried it! I was really hurt. I ate it, it still tasted lovely πŸ˜‚

Did you use Swiss roll instead of boudoir biscuits?

Squirty cream needs to be put on last minute, I learnt that. We live and learn do t we.

Ramekins are good, send them home with their desert, just make sure to get dishes back.

SQUIRTY CREAM the Devils invention !! Tastes like soap, just the fact it " melts" is a clue to the rubbish it is, Fresh Double Cream whipped up takes a min; and will last and last, plus no additives ect; !

With the cold weather today was goat day on the farm. On this occasion I was on breakfast duty for the helpers so managed to distance myself but normally I have always been with them. I made up for it a little processing offal though. Richard came in and I had made fresh floured baps to go with the fry up (I'm from the south east of England so it is a bap to me), my ex husband was from the West Riding of Yorkshire where is was either a teacake (imagine my confusion) or a bread cake, my dad was from Hull so it was a bread bun. Richard announces "Oh, you made stotties", my response was what is a stottie, apparently its a floured bap x ... See MoreSee Less

Happy New Year everyone ✨️ πŸŽ‰

I'm staying in Manchester at my daughter's for new year, we had a quiet night in last night with snacks and nibbles and homemade sausage rolls πŸ˜‹.
I also made a nice old school sponge with custard while I've been here and I made the custard with soya milk as she has a lactose intolerance and the sponge is dairy free, she quite often misses out on this sort of thing and it was so nice for us all to have the same, it was bloody lovely πŸ˜‹ x

I only post pictures of food I have cooked for the first time. I don't post things I have posted before.
Tonight, I made mushroom omelette for the first time in my life. But no pictures as it had to be dished and served in a trice.
But it was very nice, if I say so myself.

And yes, it was the left over mushrooms from last night's Bourguignon.
