It was really interesting that shared into Cook & Kitchen in flaming June was a large range of classic winter warmers including many delicious roast dinners, though there were plenty of summer classics too.
Amazing contributions came in all month from so many, but to name just a few; Michelle Golding, Rebecca Tulett, Tina Jarvis, Julie King, Michelle Johnson, Sharon Day, Marie Baker, Lynn Appleby-Brisco and John Godwin.
One to highlight from this month though was Kate Cleathero who shared a stunning Jubilee cake at the start of June, followed by a variety of dishes including Barnsley chops, roast pork with crunchy crackling, roast chicken and vegetable soup, linguine bolognese, roast pork with crunchy crackling, and a delicious looking leftovers dish.
Hazel Hayward shared some stunning cakes including a vanilla sponge Man United cake, a banana bread and a delicious stir fry with chicken tikka skewers.
Our first ever winner Margaret Pullen indulged us with some beautiful tray bakes including a zesty looking lemon, a chocolate and jaffa orange, a salted caramel and also a jam and coconut tray bake to her usual incredibly high standards.
The winner though in June put in a sterling effort, as despite being on his holidays in Southwold, Geoffrey Brock continued to share his cooking with us all. His posts this month included so much great cooking, but to pick a few these there was his crab salad, lamb samosas, Chinese crispy chilli beef, crispy sea bass, tuna in soffritto with saffron rice, salmon en croute and his duck breast with plum and a strawberry panna cotta.
